Addressing the Loneliness Epidemic with Local Community
Naj Austin will share on her work leading Somewhere Good, a platform built to disrupt and redefine how we build intentional community in the places we call home.
Join Naj for an interactive conversation around creating digital and physical platforms that help people better connect to themselves and their neighbors. A serial entrepreneur who works at the intersections of technology, wellbeing and community, Naj brings a care-centered and identity-driven perspective to everything she touches.
At the core of it all is a passion in reminding people that:
- a truly “connected” world is a collectively-minded and caring one
- being in a community extends beyond our phones and into our backyards
Naj believes our future lies in local, intentional bonds that re-inspire meaning in people’s lives. Through providing insight on how Somewhere Good will change our cities for the better, Naj will also offer reflections and encouragement on how we can all nurture local community, have better conversations with one another, create shared rituals and directly address the pressing issue of loneliness in today’s society.
