Office Hours
A Digital Discussion Series

A casual space for designers to discuss trends and shape the conversation.

Office Hours is a discussion series for people working in design. Staying up-to-date in our ever-evolving industry can be tough, and we’re here to create a space for designers to come together and discuss the latest trends, news, and challenges in a casual, open environment. This session, we’ve invited four industry leaders from our mentorship program to share their expertise with us on one of our most-asked subjects: creating case studies. We’ll start with 10-minute presentations from each, followed by an open discussion. We invite you to come prepared with questions and any of your own insights to share with the group.

This series is open to creatives of all levels. We encourage early registration, as we’re limiting each group to 50 participants to ensure an intimate and engaging conversation. After each session, we’ll share a recap with further reading to keep the conversation going.

Presenters

Danielle Torres, Director of Product Design

Danielle is a Brooklyn-based design leader and Latina with an affinity for beauty and a student of mindful living. Currently, she’s the Director of Product Design at Lonely Planet. During her time in New York, she led experiences at Tripadvisor and worked agency-side at Huge. Over the past 12 years, she’s focused on e-commerce, visual systems, and shopper marketing across brands such as Google, Spotify, Walmart, Inc., and Publix Super Markets. When working independently, she leans into her joy of creative direction, branding, and interior design. She finds fulfillment in mentorship, advocating for mental health awareness, and building inclusive communities by empowering diverse thought, curiosity, and creative play.

Victoria Butova, Senior Product Designer

Victoria took an unconventional route into product design— starting with a brief dive into software engineering, shifting into graphic design, and later studying sculpture. This blend of technical curiosity and artistic exploration continues to shape how she sees design: as a space where structure meets creativity. Her professional journey led her to work with both small creative studios and established global brands, teaching her how to scale thoughtful design without losing the human touch. Now based in Germany, she brings that perspective to Wolt, where she works on the Courier Partner app.

Tom Lauro, Senior Designer

Tom Lauro is a Brooklyn-based creative director and designer blending bold simplicity with strategic storytelling. With roots in landscape architecture, he brings a sharp, multidisciplinary edge to every project—guided by curiosity, clarity, and culture. As a senior designer at Pearhead Inc., Tom crafts packaging and product experiences for major retailers like Walmart and Target, marrying retail precision with emotional impact. Through his studio, Tom Lauro Design, he builds brands from the ground up—creating logos, merch, and campaigns that hit on a gut level.

He’s also the host of The Next Level, a podcast spotlighting rising designers and the future of creative culture. Whether behind the mic or the screen, Tom pushes ideas forward with fresh perspective and fearless energy—always chasing what’s next, and how design can say more with less.
