Growing up Underground
A Memoir of Counterculture New York

Join us for a conversation with Steven Heller about his recent memoir

Join designer and author, Steven Heller and Anne Quito, for an intimate conversation about his recent coming-of-age memoir, Growing Up Underground: A Memoir of Counterculture New York. This memoir takes us on a deep visual dive into NYC’s youth culture eruption in the 1960s, and 1970 from Steven’s on-the-ground lived experience.

Steven has documented the impact of NYC’s design and creative evolution with a critical eye for over half a century.

After the event, you are invited to join us for a reception and book signing. A limited number of books will be available for purchase at the event, but we strongly encourage you to purchase the book in advance (with ticket purchase).
