Gender Equity in Design
Enhance your leadership skills and advance gender equity with this one-day professional development workshop especially for designers.
Sessions start with a dive into gender, empathy, and workplace issues that affect leadership progression and collaboration. From there, a range of high-energy interactive activities bust through biases to forge co-designed solutions.
The event is gender inclusive and capped at 25 participants. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

About the facilitator
Leyla Acaroglu, PhD, is a New York-based Australian designer, sociologist, educator, sustainability provocateur and entrepreneur respected around the world for her speaking and facilitation skills. She is the founder of The Un-School of Disruptive Design and two multidisciplinary design agencies dedicated to social and environmental innovation: Disrupt Design in New York and Eco Innovators in Melbourne. Leyla is a respected international speaker, facilitator, and communicator as well as a visiting scholar at NYU and an Innovator-in-residence at the Center for Social Innovation NYC. Her award-winning work challenges people to see the secret life of everyday things and to think differently about the ways in which we live in the world.
