DESIGN + TECH: STORIES OF COLLABORATION FROM THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
Are you a designer or developer (student or professional) looking for a partner in crime? Are you looking for a collaborator to help turn your ideas for client work, a personal project, or a new venture into a reality? Join us at General Assembly for the opportunity to hear from an inspiring line-up of design and tech teams as they share both work and process stories from their creative endeavors.
You’ll also have the opportunity to pitch your projects and meet other members of the design and tech communities with drinks to follow, so be sure to bring your business cards—and charm—in spades.
Co-presenters include:
KEENAN CUMMINGS + ERIC JACOBSEN of WANDER
Keenan Cummings is the creative director and a co-founder of Wander, a beautiful way to experience and express yourself through places. Prior to Wander, Keenan spent his career working in branding and design strategy roles at Fwis, Johnson & Johnson, and VSA Partners, before realizing he wanted to build product from the ground up.
Eric Jacobsen is the developer of Lookwork, a co-founder of Svpply.com and The Egotist Network, and co-conspirator of countless microsites and one-offs. He doesn’t quite believe that he’s been doing this since the late nineties.
RENDA MORTON + ANDY PRESSMAN of RUMORS
Rumors is a design studio that partners with clients and collaborators on projects from start to finish, from conception through development and design. Recent clients include Verso, Rookie, Bidoun, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
Renda Morton, partner, has a BFA in Interactive Media from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
Andy Pressman, partner, graduated from the Cooper Union in New York City.
