Business of Design
Corporate Comms, Agency PR & Reputation
How creative businesses build a reputation, tell their own story and earn attention without becoming their own full-time PR department.
Agencies spend their entire day helping clients communicate, but often struggle to communicate what makes their own business interesting.
Alice Ryan Norcia, Cassie Delgado, Eva Valdebenito, and Laura Carrick get practical about agency PR, corporate communications, thought leadership, awards, press relationships, crisis communications and the difference between simply putting work into the world and actually building a reputation around it.
This conversation is moderated by AIGA NY Board member, Mike Perry of TAVERN.
Business of Design is an intimate roundtable series spotlighting the people who make great creative work possible but rarely get the spotlight.
Design is often celebrated through craft and creative vision. But behind every successful studio, agency, or in-house team is a group of operators, strategists, and leaders quietly holding the system together.
This series reframes “business” not as the enemy of creativity, but as its infrastructure.
Each session brings together experienced practitioners in a specific discipline for an honest, peer level conversation about what actually happens behind the scenes. Shared lessons and an open Q&A exchange with the audience.
Capped at 50 attendees, the goal is intimacy, candor, and usefulness. This is not about inspiration quotes. It’s about how the work actually gets done.

Before Red Antler, she spent five years as Director of Communications & Partnerships at Sibling Rivalry, and earlier worked in communications and marketing at Loyalkaspar. She got her start in production at Entertainment Tonight and the experiential agency CS Global Group, which still informs her hands-on, collaborative approach.

Previously a driving force behind Uncommon Creative Studio’s meteoric rise, Alice shaped earned strategy for work that broke through at the highest level, including an Emmy-winning Kim Gehrig film that premiered during the Oscars and won at Cannes, and Ratboot, which generated 147 million views without paid media. Her campaigns have won Cannes Lions and D&AD Pencils, generating billions of impressions globally, and she’s the only publicist to have placed women on Ad Age’s Leading Women list three consecutive years.
At TG Collective, named for the three girls who inspired the move, she offers support across the full spectrum of communications, from campaign launches to crisis comms to industry speaking and awards.
