Monotype
Type for Everyone. Everywhere. For Everything.
Creator of iconic typefaces, Monotype is opening its New York studio to AIGA NY members for a tour and talk about the ever-expanding role that type plays in our lives every day.
Everyone has an opinion on type, whether they consciously know it or it exists somewhere deep in their psyche. As a result, type has emerged as one of the most influential and impactful elements of design. It is everywhere we look. It’s accessible to creative professionals and schoolchildren alike. And it carries the thousands of messages we humans take in each and every day. Join celebrated designer, typographer, educator and Monotype Type Director Charles Nix as he discusses new developments that have the potential to change how people view, consume and design with type.
