Advocacy—promoting dialogue and action that leads to positive change in our city and our profession—is imperative to AIGA NY’s mission and a growing focus of our programming. Join us for cocktails to support AIGA NY’s efforts to amplify socially engaged design practices and foster a more empathetic and inclusive design community.

AIGA NY’s continued efforts to amplify socially engaged design practice and foster a more empathetic and inclusive design community in 2018. Our recent season kicked off with an extraordinary presentation by Dori Tunstall on the need to Decolonize Design; Nadia Ramadan Jones led a series of Unconscious Bias Training workshops to provide designers with tools to advance workplace inclusivity; in its 25th year our mentorship program introduced 15 NYC public school students to design careers; the Citizen Designer Now! initiative harnessed the political commitment of designers; and a open cALL for Ideas awarded more than $10,000 in support for projects expanding diversity within the NYC design profession. With your support we can build on these efforts; ticket sales support AIGA NY’s advocacy-forward programming in 2019.
