Helping Designers Speak with Conviction
Learn communication strategies to advocate for your ideas and get buy-in from stakeholders
Michael Gendler of Ultraspeaking presents an Executive Presence Workshop designed to demystify how to achieve greater conviction, gravitas, and influence in communication, regardless of one’s title. The session covers techniques to help participants express their ideas with confidence, precision, and impact. Attendees will learn about common mistakes that can undermine influence and discover new strategies to advocate for their most important ideas.
The workshop offers a fun and interactive experience, with optional but encouraged participation. Participants will receive on-the-spot coaching, allowing everyone to witness the immediate improvement in their communication skills.

Michael Gendler
Michael is the founder of Ultraspeaking, a communication school that helps people overcome nervousness and learn effective communication skills. He is also a public speaking coach, a freestyle rapper, and a believer that everybody can become a great communicator. He has coached clients from all over the world, including companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Google, and content creators like Ali Abdaal, Tiago Forte, and Sorrelle Amore. One of Michael’s favorite accomplishments is coaching his co-founder, Tristan, to reach the World Championship of Public Speaking. (Yes, apparently that’s a real thing!) You can read about their incredible story in the Wall Street Journal best-selling book Ultralearning by Scott Young.
About Ultraspeaking
In 2017, Tristan de Montebello stood in front of 3,000 people on the final stage of the World Championship of public speaking.
Despite starting with zero experience in public speaking, Tristan became the fastest competitor in history to reach the finals in seven months.Afterwards, Tristan de Montebello and his coach Michael Gendler co-founded Ultraspeaking.
They went on to coach thousands of students, ranging from professional keynote speakers to people suffering from crippling anxiety. They found out why most efforts to improve public speaking fail: you have to learn to enjoy speaking before you can get better at it. It’s just like swimming. If you don’t learn how to float before you try to swim across the pool, you’ll flail around, exerting needless energy.
Through thousands of hours of coaching, they developed and refined a fun and gamified coaching methodology that produces rapid results. While many programs focus too much on the symptoms of nervousness, their approach tackles the underlying root problems to unlock a fundamentally different relationship to speaking.
Today, Ultraspeaking is a global community made up of thousands of individuals passionate about learning the skills to live a fully-expressed life.
