Join Yeliz Secerli, The Jewish Museum Director of Design and Graphic Designer for 2×4 Marcus Hollands for a private tour and discussion of the inner workings on the exhibition design of New York: 1962-1964. This immersive exhibition with over 150 pieces of art and design explores a pivotal three-year period in the history of art and culture in NYC, examining how artists living and working in New York responded to their rapidly changing world.

This private tour is limited to 10 people.

New York: 1962-1964 explores a pivotal three-year period in the history of art and culture in New York City, examining how artists living and working in New York responded to their rapidly changing world, through more than 180 works of art—all made or seen in New York between 1962-1964.

Unique NY events are very small gatherings, giving our community the chance to get up-close and personal with tremendous talent and tiny tours. Intimate conversations with designers in their studios or homes, behind-the-scenes tours at museums and institutions each limited to 10-12 people. The experiences will be personal, pleasurable, and positively New York. Your ticket supports AIGA NY and costs associated with events such as speaker honorariums, production costs, and venue fees. Yeliz Secerli

With a deep interest in branding, exhibition and publication design, Yeliz is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer working across cultural institutions and continuously implementing self-initiated projects.

Yeliz is currently the Director of Design at the Jewish Museum. She received her MA from Werkplaats Typografie and BFA in Graphic Design from FIT. She was the Creative Director at the art-center, Mana Contemporary, and has designed various issues of Surface, Tokion, Osmos, the L and Brooklyn Magazines.

Her recent self-initiated project, parallel-parallel.com which was featured in AIGA Eye on Design, showcases works by graphic designers that have been postponed indefinitely or will never be realized due to the impact of Covid-19.
