Workshop
Unconscious Bias Training
As designers, art directors, and creative directors we have a responsibility to create inclusive environments and perceptions not only in our workplace but also in culture.
We all remember the recent Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad or the H&M t-shirt “coolest monkey in the jungle” product shot. These are two example of how the decisions we make and our biases as creatives impact culture and societal stereotypes. In this workshop we will acknowledge that all humans are biased. We will understand our unconscious biases and their impact on our day-to-day decision-making processes. And learn how to practice interrupting our unconscious biases in our daily personal and professional lives.
Our backgrounds, personal experiences, societal stereotypes and cultural context play a considerable role in how we perceive and relate to others. Back by popular demand, this workshop will guide you in understanding and provide strategies to disrupt your unconscious biases.
This workshop is open to all but we encourage participation of creatives in leadership positions.
