HOW TO STAY HARD: AN EVENING WITH JAMES VICTORE
HOW TO STAY HARD
Limp?
Fallen out of love with your job?
Waiting for the phone to ring?
Join James Victore for a funny, intimate, and revealing discussion of what it takes to keep pushing boundaries, working with the clients you want, and exploring new venues—all while maintaining your own vision.
James will be discussing client work, personal work, new work, what he does to maintain love and balance in his job, life, and family, what the hell he has been doing since he turned 40, and what his plans are for 60.
He has generously been working with the AIGA/NY Mentoring Program. Through a spirited workshop with mentors and their students, teams have been assigned a project, the results of which will be displayed at this event.
James Victore runs a small, opinionated art and design studio working on projects from book and web to product design. His clients include Yohji Yamamoto, Design Within Reach, Esquire and Portfolio Center. He teaches graphic design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, currently has five pieces on display at the Museum of Modern Art, and last year began a design workshop called www.sahrevictorewilker.com.
