Collaborate/Celebrate: AIGA NY Annual Holiday Party

In the spirit of Charles and Ray Eames, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, Bogart and Bacall, twenty-two virtuoso couples have come up with creative collaborations to be auctioned off at this year’s holiday soiré. We provided each couple with a pair of seasonally inspired, black rubber boots to cut, puncture, glue, stitch, photograph, paint, draw, embellish, interpret, or transform. The final creations will be on display at the event, where we will hold a silent auction. If you're outbid, don't dismay: an elegantly designed catalog of the final boot creations will be distributed to all that attend.

Proceeds from the event benefit the AIGA NY Mentoring Program and First Book, an organization dedicated to giving children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books.

Paper/tape
Adding to the holiday cheer, six custom wrapping papers and six custom rolls of tape will be available for sale, designed by some of New York's best (as well as a few out-of-towners we love) including Shigeto Akiyama, Marc Alary, Marian Bantjes, Tom Brown, Deanne Cheuk, Arem Duplessis, Julia Hoffmann, Michael Ian Kaye, Ji Lee, Lenny Naar, Jason Santa Maria, Trollbäck + Company and Rick Valicenti.
