FRIDAY 6 APRIL 2007 6:30–9:30PM
A/Z: Helvetica

You love it, or you hate it — or maybe it's both. This year, Helvetica celebrates its fiftieth birthday, and half a century of defining (or suffocating) visual culture around the world. Come see the gamut of supporters, detractors and observers at the New York premiere of "Helvetica," a full-length documentary by Gary Hustwit.

The film features Michael Bierut, Tobias Frere-Jones, Jonathan Hoefler, Rick Poynor, Stefan Sagmeister, David Carson, Paula Scher, Massimo Vignelli, Wim Crouwel, Matthew Carter, Erik Spiekermann, Hermann Zapf and many more.

The screening of "Helvetica" will be followed by Q/A with Gary and a panel of special guests from the film.
